Character Info
Spot Conlon is the leader of the Brooklyn newsies, and the most famous and respected newsie in all of New York, and probably everywhere else, too. Jack's newsies know that they're strike won't succeed without all the other newsies in New York, and none of them are going to join until Spot does. David the walking mouth is unable to persuade Spot to join, until they prove themselve loyal and brave. Brooklyn's entry into the strike turns the tide and the Newsies win the day (but you knew that already!) =)

How started acting career: his brother Joe landed a small part on a soap opera and Gabe went with him to L.A.
When started acting career: age four(comerrcials)
Born in Reno, Nevada, Gabe Damon moved to Los Angeles at the age of four. By age seven, he'd appeared in moer than 50 commercials. His first major role came in 1983 on the cricially acclaimed television series "Call to Glory." After numerous guest appearances, including "Who's the Boss" and "Highway to Heaven" he made his feature film debut in "Terminus." Other film credits include "Tequila Sunrise" and "Iron Maze." He was also the voice of Littlefoot in "The Land Before Time" as well as Nemo in "Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland."
Another interesting side note: "Little Nemo" was based on the comic strip Little Nemo by Winsor McCay and was, at one time, printed in Willian Randolf Hearst's newspaper, The New York Journal. That's the same guy who was, along with Pulitzer, involved in the newsies' strike of 1899, as you all know.
