Befriended by the leader, Jack Kelly because his little brother, Les, would provide the perfect front for their paper selling operations, David quickly finds his place among the ranks, when he becomes the brains of the strike. Meanwhile, Sarah, his older sister, becomes the love interest for Jack, and part of the reason he decides to stay in New York City.

A native of the Bronx, New York, he graduated early from Central Park East Secondary School. He knew since he was young that he wanted to be in the movies, but he thought originally that he'd be a stuntman. However, he was cast in the role of "Eugene" in the television series "Kate and Allie" when he was eleven. Since then he's been in "Big" as the young version of Tom Hanks. He's also been in several prime time TV sitcoms: "Live-in" and in "Living Dolls." He still lives in the Bronx with his parents and his younger brother, Lev, who was an extra in "Newsies."
